DEATH NOTE-Tales of the shinigami 👹

Death Note (stylized as DEATH NOTE) is a Japanese manga series written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The story follows Light Yagami, a teen genius who stumbles across a mysterious otherworldly notebook: the "Death Note", which belonged to the ShinigamiRyuk, and grants the user the supernatural ability to kill anyone whose name is written in its pages.

In the Japanese culture , people believe that there are these spirits or monsters that attract people to death or brings death itself!Japanese people refer them to as Shinigami -“Shinigami” is made from two other Japanese words: “shi” and “kami”. These literally mean “death” and “god”.

DEATH NOTE was initially written as a manga series by the story author and the illustrator together during 2003 to 2006, after the success of this manga ,it was adapted into the much more famous animated series named Deathnote too.

About the story:

The story revolves around a teenage boy- Light Yagami in his last years of high school, who is outstanding in his academic performance and is not interested in anyone romantically inspite of the girls approaching him. He wants to be the part of the police department just like his father and remove the evil or punish the evil no matter what way he has to use.

He has a younger sister - Sayu Yagami, who is very fond of her elder brother

The plot starts in the Shinigami world, where a certain Shinigami Ryuk was bored and he drops his deathnote(a book in which whosever's name is written is bound to die) intentionally in the human world to have some fun and he himself follows the book into the human world where he waits for a human to pick it up and use it.

The death Note has a certain set of rules which has to be followed by the user to successfully kill someone, Light yagami was the human who found the book and since he touches the books he can now see the shinigami Ryuk who was hovering around the book. The thing is you cannot see these shinigamis .....unless you have touched their own Death Note, each shingami has one personal deathnote to themselves.

Ryuk introduces Light to the the notebook and tells him all about it, which attracts Light alot because this notebook would give him the power to eradicate all the evil from the world within a blink. but what he didn't know was with power comes greed, fear and much more ,well he knew that but he had confidence in himself that he wouldnt turn into that.

The plot shows how and when Light yagami manages to kill all the criminals without anyone knowing who was responsible for these killings.

The killer whom we know as Light Yagami was given a Fan name-'KIRA' as the killings progressed and it created chaos among the public. A special team was formed in the police department to find KIRA.

This team was leaded by 'L' and Light's father was one of the main member in that team , the series very interestingly show cased how Light yagami continues these killing even after the police department starts to suspect him and he was kept under surviellance .

There's also a second 'KIRA' which emerges who has a different DEATH NOTE of a different shinigami, who helps Light yagami in concealing his identity and also favours him and does all the killings for him.

The story line very appropriately changes the timelines, which is subtle change but eye catchy enough for the viewer to catch that.

Finally it took 6 years for the police department to identify the person who is behind the name of 'KIRA'

The series as well the original version ie. the Manga is perfect for someone who likes riddles and mystery. And the illustrators and the author did a great work with capturing the attention of its viewers.
